I don’t even know what to say about this painting except that it was a deeply emotional and overwhelming painting to do. It was difficult at times, but just seemed to flow at other times. This bit of sky is possibly my favorite part of the painting.
This was a birthday present for a mother, grieving the loss of her young son. The only consolation in a situation like this is to know that he is in a better place and with our Savior and others who have gone before.
Psalm 34:18 The Lordis nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Edit: I forgot to mention that I am giving away a painting on Facebook. You have to be on the “likes” list to win. Every 100 likes, I’m giving away a painting. We just hit 200 and I’m drawing the name at 11:30 PST (2 hours from now). Get on the list to be eligible to win! 🙂
I painted several commissioned pet portraits over the past few weeks, which were given as special Christmas gifts.
And a commissioned baby portrait: (pardon the bad photo. I didn’t get a good picture of it before sending it off):
I also did a couple of doggie portraits for some friends’ Christmas gifts:
This one was very special because my friend’s dog, Bailey, passed away a few months ago. She was such a great companion.
I also did a few paintings to sell at a gallery in Salt Lake City, UT. The Starbucks, right across the street of the gallery, closed not long ago, to the dismay of many of the gallery clients. So, I am doing a series of Starbucks paintings that will only be available at the 15th Street Gallery in Salt Lake City. If you’re in the area- go check them out. (It may be a week or two before they are hung and available)
I didn’t get pictures of all of them… and the pictures that I did get were from my cell phone, so not the best quality.

After a long painting hiatus, I pulled out my brushes and did a little number. It started out as just a quick thing to put in a frame in order to fill a space on a wall. But then I decided to actually paint- like, take the time and try to make something beautiful.
I will proudly display this in my home… unless someone wants to buy it from me. 🙂
Remember back when my facebook page got 150 “likes” and I gave away a painting? Here is the completed painting.
This cute little guy is just 5 inches square.
I love the jack-o-lantern grin and this kid’s beautiful blue eyes.

If you see something online that you like, but I don’t have listed here, send me a message- I’ll let you know if I can do it and how much it would be. For instance, I only have pictures of monster and owl hats, but I could do monkeys, hippos, foxes (I’m actually working on a fox right now), pretty much whatever you can dream up! Also, the costume hats come with a matching tail. (See the lion and lamb Halloween costumes I did).
Chelsie Brady Art facebook page got to 150 likes! That means that I’m giving away a 5×5 painting to one lucky winner.
Michael Telford was randomly chosen as the winner and will receive a painting!
